Chaitra Navaratri is observed during the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month and is mostly observed in northern and western India. The nine-day festival of Chaitra Navrati is also known as Rama Navratri which ends on Rama Navami, that is Lord Ram’s birthday. All nine days during Navratri are dedicated to nine forms of Goddess Shakti. This year chaitra navratri starts with Shailputri Puja on 18th March and ends with Siddhidatri Puja on 26th March 2018.
